We had the privilege of touring the Crisis Center's brand new facility for victims of domestic violence. It is truly a state of the art facility. The Crisis Center is faith based and looks to God for guidance in all they do. We are honored to partner with them and make our community a safer place. We plan to help with final finishes on the facility by supplying needed items for the rooms and apartments that people will be housed in. Be watching for information in that regard!! Thank you to all of our members that joined us on the tour...it was a very special time together.

RoundUp has been busy within our communities since the first of the year. We have supported Connections Youth and Family Services and The Rotary Club of Canyon Lake with over 5k in donations. Diapers and wipes have been delivered to Options for Life as well as children's clothing. With the generosity of our members, we have been able to provide furnishings for 4 families setting up new homes; three of them after fleeing dangerous domestic situations.
We have provided meals to 8 families undergoing hardship. We continue to hold game nights each week and have several dances each month to pour back into our communities...our game nights have attendance from 25-35. The last dance shared the evening with over 250 people from our community including lots of children and young people. Let's continue to spread God's love and be the light in a sometimes dark world. We are making a difference!!!
RoundUp continues to be blessed with opportunities to serve critical needs in and our communities. During the recent cold temperatures we were able to share a substantial amount of blankets, warm hats and gloves to those who have no shelter. Thank you to Suzanne Kirchten for seeing that the donated items were given to the ones in need. Together we are better!
New Years Eve with RoundUp4Charity was one of the best ever. We were blessed to have Di Clay decorate for us again and it was simply beautiful!! We had a large crowd (almost 300!) enjoying the evening at Columbus Hall where The County Line Band had us on the dance floor all night long. It was truly a pleasure and honor to ring in the new year with each of you. We are looking forward to 2026 and having many opportunities to dance and serve others along side each of you!!
2nd Annual Gala was held in December 2025 at Columbus Hall.
Wow!! We had such a fantastic evening at Martinez Social Club with Dale Watson and Cactus Country. Both bands played an abundance of Christmas Songs and we enjoyed dancing in the beautiful historic dance hall. It was a beautiful evening and we were able to raise some additional funds to help with purchasing groceries for our Angel Tree families! Thank you to all for supporting our events. We hold these for you!!!
On the morning of December 20th, we had 30 volunteers who came together to wrap Christmas gifts for our Angel children. We had such a wonderful time of fun and fellowship. Some gifts had already been delivered to Kerrville and Seguin. Then, in the afternoon the remainder of the families picked up their gifts and HEB gift cards. In total, we provided gifts for 70 children. Thank you to all of you who helped shop for gifts, donated money and wrap gifts. It as a wonderful time of serving. Together we accomplished so much.
RoundUp members showed up big time for the 2nd year in a row for Camp Cummins Activity Center Angel Tree!! We had 52 kids this year to shower with gifts, an increase of 20 from last year. The gifts were obviously purchased with care and love as each one that opened exclaimed with delight that Santa knew exactly what they wanted. Those that were able walked around showing their treasures to their friends. Several members were able to join in the wonderful party where Santa showed up to deliver each person’s gifts!! Thank you to all who provided gifts for Camp Cummins. Each gift was loved and very much appreciated. We are honored to partner with Camp Cummins to support their great mission to provide a safe and learning environment for those that have aged out of our school special needs programs. We look forward to many more opportunities to work with our special needs community in 2026!!
We had the most wonderful Turkey 2Step for the 2nd Year.
RoundUp hosts a Steak Dinner for Veterans every year. It is our biggest outreach to local men and women that have served in our nation’s armed forces. This year was fantastic!
We fed well over 100 men and women, most of them veterans. Russell Hansmann grilled up the steaks with the help of Juan Martinez. We had several serving our guests, Sharon Clairmont-Martinez, Madison Hansmann, Jacquie Sanders, John Allen, Melissa Onks, Kathleen Whitton and others. We are so honored and proud to honor those that served and are very appreciative of their sacrifice to keep America the land of the free. If you missed this wonderful time, plan to join us next year…On Veterans Day…always November 11th!!
On November 1, 2025, several of us had the opportunity to go to Kerrville and Hunt and distribute more funds from RoundUp4Charity to flood victims. All of the families we visited had been in the rising flood waters and survived. One couple said they were in an RV and managed to escape to a tree. One family struggled to get their children to the roof of their home. Another family was able to swim out. We heard some terrifying stories. One family returned to their home to find their dog alive, sitting in their washer. They were all so appreciative of the financial help. We were able to tour some of the homes and see the renovations. We hope to go back in the future and help with projects. Your generosity through RoundUp is making a difference in the lives of others.
If you missed our annual get together at Wurstfest, you missed a fantastic time. We had a huge group of people show up to enjoy the music by Cloverleaf Orchestra. They played polka after waltz after polka all evening with a couple 2steps and a swing song thrown in for good measure.
We had the privilege of being the spotlighted Non-profit at the New Braunfels Farmers Market for the 2nd time this year. We had several members join us to share about RoundUp. We gained 2 new members from that day. We made some great contacts that we can collaborate with for the coming year.

In September 2025, we had the opportunity to assist two individuals that were involved in motor vehicle accidents that were not their fault.
Joshua Balat was traveling in the Canyon Lake area when a car veered into his lane and hit him head on. He was able to get out of his truck and tried to render aid the other people involved in the accident. He owns a landscaping company and will be unable to work for six weeks as he recovers from hand surgery on his hand injury he received in the accident.
RoundUp was able to support him with $2500 to help him get through the time he will be unable to work.
Just a few days later, Autumn Duran, a much-loved friend of RU4C, was t-boned while delivering food to someone. Her car was totaled in the accident. Autumn teaches students that are learning to be commercial drivers. The funding for her students was halted, so she was furloughed for a short period of time. RoundUp was able to gift her with $1850 to help her through this difficult time.
It is our joy and honor to stand along side others when they go through difficult times. We are very grateful for each of you that give generously so that we may help those with critical and unexpected needs.

One of the focuses of Roundup is to assist existing organizations in their efforts. We have had the opportunity to provide that many times in recent months. Your generous support allows us to be generous with others!
Geronimo VFW has plans to resurface their parking lot. We presented them with a $1,000 check at our first Tuesday dance to get things started. Our plan is to assist further as funds become available.

Thanks to Thomas with Outlaw Graphix and Josie De la Rosa…the trailer has been wrapped and is a moving billboard for RoundUp!! Josie and Thomas donated the time and materials to get the job done. We are grateful for such incredibly generous members.
A fire in the middle of the night recently took the home of Justin and Jamie Bierstedt in Guadalupe County. They were awakened in the middle of the night to flames in their home.
After learning of the tragedy, RoundUp members donated over $2300 in cash and gift cards for the family to help them with immediate needs.
One of our members, Gene Foerster, has vivid memories of a similar occurrence that happened to his family decades ago. He too, was awakened to the smell of smoke in the middle of the night and was able to get his 2 sons and wife to safety. When Gene heard of the Bierstedt’s plight, he pledged to match an additional $1,000 to further assist them in their rebuilding process.
Roundup members have donated over 4k to help the Bierstedts with the rebuilding process as well as supplied them with furniture and household goods to furnish their home.
We are so honored to be on this journey with you and are very thankful for each opportunity God brings our way to be His hands and feet.
A Very Busy February for such a short month (2025)
Roundup has been busy the month of February!! We held 9 events in this short month…4 game nights….and 5 community dances. We kicked off our Historical Dance Hall Tour with the first stop at Luckenbach,Texas. The temperature dipped quite low, and we had good attendance and everyone that joined in had a great time. Be sure to follow us on our website or Facebook to keep up with all events. Our secretary, Melissa Onks, also sends out weekly emails that will keep you informed! If you haven’t received the emails ,please let us know so we can add you to the mailing list. Email us at roundup4charity@gmail.com
We’ve also been busy giving back to the community. We assisted 2 families that have lost their homes to fire with financial support as well as furniture and appliances. We donated to 5 of the youth showing livestock in the Comal County Youth Show. Provided groceries and supplies to 3 families in need. Provided meals to the sick and shut-in among many other charitable works.
If you are interested in organizing any opportunities to serve others, we need your help!
We currently need someone to organize and target those in our community and our membership that need meals due to illness or other circumstances. We would love to extend our reach into the community and need you to help make that happen! This isn’t something you would do on your own. We are looking for many to coordinate and manage needs and requests. The more people participate, the more we can help and support. Think of it this way, 2 people coordinating, we can add one or two events. 20 people coordinating, we can add 30 to 40 events. We know we are surrounded by great people that have servants’ hearts. Please come talk to us or send an email to us at roundup4charity@gmail.com.
Several of our members have experienced serious medical issues in the past couple of months and we are so grateful to report that they are all improving and back with us at game night or the dance floor!!
Please reach out to Russell or Kathleen if you are interested in starting something new or organizing an effort or event…. We are willing and ready to do more!
